This article explains why certain features may not appear in your account — including features that are gated by your organization's plan, features that require a partner connection, and actions that are limited to specific team roles.
Quick checklist
- Check your role — some controls are only visible to owners or admins.
- Check whether the feature is flag-gated for your organization (Flows, Print Locations, CASV Sepia).
- Check whether the feature requires a partner connection (GFcrew and GFITpro both need a GFIT Key in Settings → Integrations).
- Remember that Send To only appears when editing a design in Studio, not in the template editor.
Flows — flag-gated, Beta
The Flows tab in the top navigation is only visible when your organization has the Flows feature enabled. If you don't see Flows in the navigation bar, your organization does not have the flag on yet.
Flows is currently in Beta. To request access, contact Templified support and ask for Flows to be enabled on your organization.
Background Removal — generally available
Background Removal is available to all organizations by default. If you do not see the Remove Background button on a photo layer, the feature may have been turned off for your organization by a platform administrator. Contact support to have it re-enabled.
Note that Background Removal only appears in the photo layer properties panel when you have a photo layer selected in the editor. It does not appear as a standalone menu item.
Print Locations — flag-gated, Beta
The Print Locations page in Settings is only visible when the Print Locations feature is enabled for your organization. Print Locations is a Beta feature for GFITpro-connected organizations. If the menu item is missing from your Settings sidebar, your organization does not have it enabled. Contact your account contact to request access.
CASV Sepia preset — org-gated
The CASV Sepia option in a photo layer's filter preset list is only shown when the casvSepiaEnabled flag is on for your organization. This is a partner-specific preset. If you don't see it in the filter dropdown, your organization does not have this preset enabled. Contact support if you believe you should have access.
GFcrew and GFITpro — require a GFIT Key
The GFcrew and GFITpro destinations in the Send-To preset builder are only available after you connect a GFIT Key. If these destinations are missing from the preset configuration screen, no GFIT Key has been entered for your organization.
Owners and admins can connect one:
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find the GFcrew / Pro section.
- Enter your GFIT Key in the field provided and click Connect.
Once connected, GFcrew and GFITpro Auto Print appear as destination options when building or editing a Send-To preset.
Designers cannot connect or disconnect integrations — only owners and admins have access to the Integrations settings page.
Send To is not available in the template editor
The Send To tab only appears when you are editing a design in Studio. When you open a template from the Templates tab (the template editor), the Send To tab is intentionally hidden — you can only send finished designs, not templates themselves.
To use Send To, open a design from Studio. The Send To tab appears in the right panel alongside the Properties tab.
Role-based access: what admins and owners see that designers don't
Some settings pages and controls are restricted by role. Designers can do all day-to-day work — editing templates, creating designs, rendering, and sending — but cannot access certain configuration areas:
| Feature or setting | Owner | Admin | Designer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Settings → Integrations (connect/disconnect) | Yes | Yes | No |
| Settings → Send-To Presets (create/edit/delete) | Yes | Yes | No |
| Settings → Print Locations (manage locations) | Yes | Yes | No |
| Settings → Billing | Yes | No | No |
| Settings → Members (invite, change roles) | Yes | No | No |
| API Keys | Yes | No | No |
Your role is shown as a badge on Settings → Members. If you need access to a restricted area, ask your organization's owner to change your role to Admin, or have the owner perform the action on your behalf.
