This FAQ answers the most common questions about how Templified works — pricing, sharing, terminology, where your renders go, and how to reach us.
Is there a subscription?
No. Templified is fully pay-as-you-go. Your organization keeps a prepaid balance, and each finished image deducts a small amount from it. When you're not rendering, nothing is deducted. There are no monthly fees, no seats, and no plan tiers.
Every new organization starts with a free trial of 25 renders and 25 Background Removal processes — no card required. When the trial runs out, a banner appears across the app and you can add a card and fund your balance to continue.
The per-render rate is 4.4¢ per image. If a render uses Background Removal to cut your subject out of the photo, a 10¢ surcharge is added — but only the first time a given photo is processed. Re-using that photo in later renders never triggers the surcharge again.
For the full breakdown of what's billed and what's free, see What counts as a render? (Billing FAQ).
Do cache hits cost anything?
No. If you send an already-finished render to a second destination — for example, re-downloading a completed image from History, or routing one render to both Dropbox and a webhook — you are not charged again. You pay once when the image is produced, not each time it is delivered or downloaded.
The same applies to Background Removal: once a photo has been processed, every subsequent render that uses that same photo reuses the saved result for free.
Can I share a template with another organization?
Yes. From the Templates tab, open the template's menu and choose Share with another org. Templified generates a single-use link. Send that link to someone in the other organization; when they accept it, the template is copied into a folder of their choice as their own independent copy. The link expires after one use and the original template in your account is unaffected.
To share within your own organization, any folder can be set to Share with organization so all members have access.
What's the difference between a template and a design?
A template is the master layout — the background, frames, logos, and placeholder slots where photos, names, and other content will go. It lives on the Templates tab and is typically built once and reused for many orders.
A design is a working copy of a template for a specific customer or player. You create a design in Studio (the Studio tab), drop in the photo, fill in the name, and adjust placement — all without touching the master template. Designs are the items you send to print or deliver to your customer.
A useful rule of thumb: if many outputs will share it, it belongs in the template. If it's specific to one person or one photo, it happens in the design. See Templates vs. designs: what's the difference? for a full explanation.
Where do my renders live?
Every render your account produces appears on the History page (click History in the top navigation bar). Completed jobs show a View link that opens the finished image directly. The page covers renders from all sources — Studio, the API, Zapier, and any integrations — so it's the single place to confirm a batch has finished or to retrieve a specific output.
Renders can also be delivered automatically: to a Dropbox folder, via a webhook, to a print partner, or to any destination you've configured under Settings → Send-To. Those deliveries happen as soon as each render completes, alongside the History record.
How do I contact support?
Email us at support@templified.io. You can also reach the team from the in-app Help page (click Help in the top navigation bar), which includes a direct link to open a support conversation.
