This article shows you how to use Studio's search bar, filter panel, and sort menu to quickly find the designs you need — even in a folder holding hundreds of items.
Searching by name
Press Cmd+F (Mac) or Ctrl+F (Windows/Linux) while viewing any folder to open the search bar in the toolbar. You can also click the magnifying-glass icon in the same toolbar to open it with the mouse.
- Press Cmd+F / Ctrl+F. The search bar opens and gains focus automatically. If a query was already typed, it is selected so your next keystroke replaces it.
- Type any part of the design or subfolder name. The grid updates instantly — both designs and subfolders in the current folder are filtered by what you type.
- Press Escape to clear the query and close the search bar, returning the grid to its full unfiltered view.
Search is case-insensitive and matches anywhere in the name — "smith" matches "John Smith" and "Smithfield Elementary".
Filtering designs
Click the Filter button (the sliders icon) in the folder toolbar to open the Filters panel. Two independent filters are available; they stack — only designs that pass both are shown.
Hide completed
Toggle Hide completed on to remove any design (or subfolder where every design is complete) from the grid. Use this to focus on outstanding work and ignore what has already shipped.
Show flag
Click one or more color dots in the Show flag section to limit the grid to designs carrying those flag colors. The available colors are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple. Click the dashed circle to include unflagged designs. You can select any combination — for example, Red and Yellow together shows all designs flagged either color.
To clear the flag selection without touching the Hide completed toggle, click Reset next to the Show flag heading.
When both filters are active, the Filter button shows a badge with the count of active filters (for example, Filter 2). To turn everything off at once, click Clear all inside the Filters panel.
Seeing what is hidden
When an active filter has hidden at least one item, a strip appears below the toolbar telling you how many items are hidden. Click Clear filters in that strip to restore the full view in one step.
Filter settings are saved automatically and persist when you reload the page or switch folders — re-open Studio and your filters are exactly as you left them.
Sorting the grid
Click the sort button (the up–down arrows icon) in the folder toolbar to choose how designs and subfolders are ordered. Five options are available:
| Option | Order |
|---|---|
| Name (A–Z) | Alphabetical, ascending |
| Name (Z–A) | Alphabetical, descending |
| Newest first | Most recently created at the top |
| Oldest first | Earliest created at the top |
| Recently updated | Last edited at the top |
The selected sort option is highlighted in the menu and shown in the button label on wider screens. Sort applies after search and filters, so the items you see are always sorted consistently.
Your sort choice is remembered per browser and persists across reloads.
Combining search, filters, and sort
All three controls work together. A typical workflow for a busy event day:
- Select the event folder in the sidebar.
- Turn on Hide completed to focus on remaining work.
- Click the Blue flag dot to show only the designs your team flagged for review.
- Press Cmd+F / Ctrl+F and type a player's last name to jump straight to that design.
To reset everything quickly, click the Filter button and choose Clear all, then press Escape to close the search bar.
