This tutorial walks you through saving a card and putting your first funds on your Templified balance — one checkout does both. It takes about two minutes.
Before you start
You'll need to be the organization owner — the Billing page only appears in Settings for owners. Have your card handy; payment is handled by Stripe, and Templified never sees your card number.
Add a card and fund your balance
- Go to Settings → Billing.
- Click Add card & fund balance. (On a trial account it's at the top of the page; otherwise it appears next to your balance.)
- In the Add card and fund balance dialog, enter the amount to put on your balance — minimum $5, maximum $2000.
- Click Continue to Stripe. You're redirected to a secure Stripe checkout page.
- Enter your card details and complete the payment.
This single checkout does two things at once: it charges the amount you chose onto your balance and saves the card for future top-ups. You don't need to set up the card separately.
What you'll see on success
Back in Templified, a confirmation appears: "Card saved and balance funded — start rendering." Your Billing page now shows your new balance, and your account status changes from Trial to Subscribed.
What unlocks
- Rendering resumes — if your trial had run out, renders and Background Removal work again immediately, paid from your balance.
- Add funds — top up any time from the Billing page; the charge goes straight to your saved card, no checkout redirect needed.
- Manage Payment Method — update or replace your saved card through the Stripe billing portal. If your saved card was ever removed, this self-heals: the billing portal's default card is synced back to Templified, and you can update the card without being charged.
- Auto-refill — with a card on file you can turn on automatic top-ups so a busy event day never stalls. See the auto-refill article below.
