This article explains how to read your usage history and receipts on the Billing page — what each line in the ledger means, how daily usage is summarized, and how to get from the History page to your balance in one click.
Where to find your usage
Go to Settings → Billing (visible to the organization owner only). Scroll down past your balance and account status to the Recent activity section. This is the running record of everything that has affected your balance.
The History page also has a direct shortcut: click the Billing button in the top-right corner of the History page to jump straight there.
How the ledger is organized
Recent activity has two parts displayed side by side:
- Daily usage — render charges and Background Removal surcharges are grouped into per-day totals. A busy event day with hundreds of renders shows as a single row rather than hundreds of individual lines, keeping the page readable.
- Top-ups & adjustments — balance additions (manual top-ups and auto-refills), trial grants, refunds, and admin adjustments always appear as individual entries so they're never hidden inside a daily summary.
Reading the daily usage table
Each row in the daily usage table covers one day and one charge type:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Date | The calendar day (UTC) the charges were incurred. |
| Type | Render for standard image renders; Background Removal for photos processed through Background Removal. |
| Count | How many individual renders or photo processes were billed that day for that type. |
| Amount | The total deducted from your balance for that day and type. |
| Balance | Your balance at the end of that day's charges. |
Reading the Top-ups & adjustments table
Below the daily usage table, the Top-ups & adjustments table shows discrete balance events — one row each:
| Event type | What it means |
|---|---|
| Refill | A balance top-up — either a manual Add funds action or an automatic refill triggered by Auto-refill. |
| Trial grant | The free credits applied when your organization was created (25 renders and 25 Background Removal processes). |
| Refund | A credit returned to your balance, for example after a reported rendering error. |
| Adjust | A manual correction applied by Templified support. |
Each row shows the timestamp, event type, amount (positive numbers add to your balance; negative numbers reduce it), and your balance after the event.
Viewing the full ledger
The daily usage summary covers the last 30 days. To see every individual render charge — useful for reconciling a specific event or answering a support question — click Show full ledger at the bottom of the Recent activity section. The full ledger loads the last 200 individual charge rows, each showing the exact timestamp, type, amount, and running balance. Click Hide to collapse it again.
Billing receipts
Every time your balance is topped up — whether by a manual Add funds action or by Auto-refill — Templified emails a receipt to the organization owner's address. The receipt shows the amount charged, the date, and your updated balance. You do not receive a receipt for individual render charges; those are visible in the ledger.
Navigating from History to Billing
If you're reviewing render jobs in the History page and want to check what they cost, click the Billing button in the top-right corner of the History page. It takes you directly to the Billing page, where the Recent activity section reflects all the charges from the jobs you were just reviewing. Renders that appear as Complete in History are the ones that count against your balance.
